What is the Gift Of Hope Program?

Gift of Hope is a Christmas Assistance Program that provides Christmas gifts to underprivileged children ages 0-17 in Butte County. All gifts are hand-picked according to each child's needs and desires. Please note that we are unable to guarantee the amount of gifts your child/children will receive, or whether they will receive any specific items.

How do I receive Christmas assistance for my child/children through Gift of Hope?

You need to complete an online application for each child by October 10. After completing the online application, you MUST attend an in-person registration on Thursday, October 14, at The Father's House Church (2833 Fort Wayne Street, Oroville, CA) with the required documents. Your application will be denied if you do not attend the in-person registration. At the in-person registration, you will receive a time to pick up your child/children’s gifts in December.

What is the eligibility requirement?

To be eligible, your child/children must be between the ages of 0 and 17 and live in Butte County. You must be the parent or legal guardian. You will need to show proof of low-to-moderate income status. You are not eligible to sign up for Gift of Hope if you have already signed up for another Christmas assistance program, such as Angel Tree or Salvation Army.

Where and when is the mandatory In-Person Registration?

The In-Person Registration takes place on Thursday, October 14, between 9 AM and 7 PM at The Father's House Church (2833 Fort Wayne Street, Oroville, CA).

What do I need to bring to the mandatory In-Person Registration on Thursday, October 14?

(1) Proof of age for each of your registered child/children (for example birth certificate); and (2) Proof of your family's low-to-moderate income status (for example, MediCal card, Calfresh card, or California benefits ID card).

​When do I pick up my child’s/children’s gifts?

At the In-Person Registration, you will receive a time to pick your family’s gifts on one of our giveaway days—December 21 or 22, 2021. You MUST pick up the presents in person at the time you have chosen. We do not hold any gifts after the giveaway days.

Can you deliver my child’s/children’s gifts?

Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver any gifts.

​When is the deadline to sign up for Gift of Hope?

The last day to enroll in Gift of Hope is Sunday, October 10, 2021.
